Larry MorganDirector of Electrical Engineering/Senior Vice President

    Larry Morgan has been with Trident Engineering since 2005 and became Senior Vice President one year later. Larry also serves as Trident’s Director of Electrical Engineering. Larry came to Trident with substantial experience in testifying in product liability cases for his former employer, Black & Decker. Larry received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a Mechanical Engineering Minor and an A.S. Electrical Engineering, both from Johns Hopkins University.

    During the last eight years of Larry’s forty-six years at Black & Decker he assisted with evaluation, investigation, and legal defense of product liability claims and lawsuits brought against B&D, visited numerous accident sites and fire scenes, examined numerous allegedly defective products and documented findings. Larry testified as both a company representative and expert witness. He interfaced with legal firms on a daily basis. Larry also assisted with CPSC product recalls of B & D products and reviewed new product designs for safety and regulatory agency compliance.

    Prior to his work in the B & D Legal Department, Larry was responsible for worldwide test board listing and compliance of all products designed and marketed by the U.S. Power Tool Group at B&D. Larry has also designed B & D consumer products and managed groups of designers.

    • Electrical engineering relating to electrical fires and lightning strikes
    • Defects involving motors, batteries and chargers, small appliances, and other electrical components
    • Electrocution and electrical shock issues
